Model Paulina Porizkova has never been shy about putting her body on display.
The 59-year-old actress began modeling in France at age 15 and became the first Central European woman to appear on the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue in 1984.
Now she takes to Instagram to share what she’s learned about aging in the public eye, including the not-so-flattering aspects of aging.

Paulina Porizkova Shares Hotel Selfies In Her Undies
Earlier this year, the New York Times bestselling author put her body on display for her fans while she was “slightly bored” – as she put it – in a hotel room. She decided to share a video of her sharing how she “really” looks like in front of the mirror.
She admitted that she’s never liked her thighs, but felt that her abs looked great in the lighting. That being said, she wasn’t scared to get up close to the camera and show up her “squishy” tummy when it was relaxed.

Paulina Bares Her Cellulite For The Camera
After turning around to give fans a look at her cellulite, Paulina didn’t hesitate to show fans the scars from her recent hip surgery. She called the scars “really great” and said that her doctor did a “phenomenal” job.
Paulina then described her body as “healthy” and “not perfect.” She labeled perfection “boring” and said that she wished that there was less focus on being perfect when there was more perfection in being imperfect and unique.

Paulina Porizkova Admits ‘Sticking Out May Be Dangerous’
As with many of her videos, the popular model posted a lengthy caption addressing her views of the “perfect” human body, something she touched on briefly at the end of her video. “The things about perfection is - it’s boring. It all looks the same! So why all the filters, the makeup tutorials, the workouts and the surgeries?” she asked.
“Why do we all want to look alike?” she continued. I understand that sticking out may be dangerous- I was once that kid and got beat up more times than I’d like to remember, so I understand the desire to conform.”
She then went on to admit, “But anyone who has had a hand in changing the world did so by daring to stick out.”

Paulina Wants To Accept Herself Fully
“Those are the people I admire, the ones from whom I get all my inspiration. The ones that refuse to be ashamed and instead accept themselves fully. That’s what I want to do,” she continued. “I’m not there yet, but there are women here who inspire me every day.”
“Thank you all for leading by example,” she concluded. “I try to do the same.” She included several different hashtags at the end of her body, such as Between JLo and Betty White, Perfect Is Boring, Let Your Freak Flag Fly, I Like Me Just The Way I Am, Unique Is Beautiful, Unique Is Not Boring, and Dare To Be You.

Many fans applauded Paulina’s transparency and thanked her for being a positive role model for women of all ages. “Fabulous for your age! More than fabulous!!” one fan commented.
“You do look great but I also appreciate this as I critique my body daily,” another follower shared.
“You are ROCKING... it took so long for me to love imperfection. I wasted too many years chasing it... Way too many. So here we are ladies loving every flaw and change in our bodies!” a third fan chimed in.
