"Vanderpump Rules" star Lala Kent has opened up about her conversation with costar James Kennedy's girlfriend Ally Lewber after his arrest on domestic assault charges.
Kennedy was arrested after officers from the Burbank Police Department responded to calls about an argument between him and an unnamed woman at his home.
Days after his arrest and release, Kennedy released a statement on social media expressing his commitment to make meaningful changes in his life.

Lala Kent Says She Spoke With Ally Lewber
Kent broke her silence on the recent issue rocking the "VPR" universe during an Amazon Live on December 19.
A fan asked the reality TV star if she had spoken to Kennedy since the domestic violence incident on December 20, and she responded, "I have not."
However, Kent revealed that she had communicated with Lewber. She said per E! News, "I've spoken with Ally and I've checked in on her, and she wrote me a text back. And that's all I'm really going to share on that topic."

Lala Kent 'Too Caught Up' With Her Life To Bother About Lewber And Kennedy's Relationship Drama
Although Kent had spoken to Lewber, she explained that she had few thoughts about the latter and Kennedy's relationship drama.
Kent, who is mom to daughters Ocean, 3, and Sosa, 3 months, said, "You know what's wild about getting older—as you get older, you have your own life to worry about. So when something happens in someone else's relationship, you first and foremost want to make sure like, 'Hey, how are you doing? Are you okay? I'm here if you need me.'"
The 34-year-old added that beyond being there for others when needed, she "really don't sit and think about anybody else's relationship." Kent further said she has few thoughts about another person's relationship because she is "too caught up in what's going on in my own household."

Lala Kent's Costar James Kennedy Makes Statement After Arrest
Kent's assertions came a few days after Kennedy posted a statement on Instagram following his arrest and subsequent release after he was charged on suspicion of domestic violence.
The DJ expressed his commitment to "making meaningful changes" in his life. He said, "I am taking time to focus on my sobriety, personal growth, and being present for my loved ones."
Kennedy agreed that navigating difficult moments was hard but expressed his determination to "learn, grow, and move forward with the incredible support system" around him.

Ally Lewber's Statement After Domestic Violence Incident
Besides Kent, many fans were concerned about Lewber after news of the domestic violence incident made headlines. She took to her Instagram Stories page to thank fans for their support.
Lewber wrote, "Thank you to everyone who has reached out with love and support and for checking in on me." She revealed that she was okay and taking the time to get through the experience. The 28-year-old concluded, "I deeply appreciate all the kindness and respect for my privacy during this time."
Two days after her post, Page Six obtained pictures showing Kennedy assisting Lewber as she moved out of their shared home. In the snapshots, the 32-year-old showed no visible emotions as he carried his girlfriend's belongings into her car.

Lewber and Kennedy have not shown any indications of splitting, though reports from TMZ indicate that she is staying with her family at an Airbnb apartment after moving out from his home.
James Kennedy Arrested
On December 10, the Burbank Police Department received a call around 11.30 p.m. reporting an alleged altercation between Kent's "VPR" costar Kennedy and a woman at the home he shared with Lewber. The call also indicated that the argument between the feuding pair had become physical.
Officers swiftly responded but found no visible signs of injury on the woman when they arrived. Kennedy was taken into custody with the arrest log detailing his altercation with the unnamed woman, claiming that her boyfriend lifted her and threw her to the ground. At the time of the arrest, there was no confirmation that the woman involved in the altercation with Kennedy was Lewber.

Authorities booked Kennedy into jail on December 11 after being charged with domestic battery upon a spouse or cohabitant. He was freed after posting a $20,000 bail. The reality TV star's legal team soon released a statement expressing that they were investigating the allegations against their client. They also expressed hope that the city's attorneys would not decide to file formal charges against Kennedy.
